What is Lent?
Lent is a season in the Christian calendar when believers focus on simple living, prayer, and fasting to grow closer to God and deepen their faith.
When is Lent?
Lent lasts for 40 days leading up to Easter. Sundays are not counted in the 40 days because each Sunday represents a celebration of the Resurrection — like a “little Easter.” In essence, Lent makes up about one-tenth of the year, similar to a spiritual tithe of time dedicated to God.
